This theme invites designers to unleash their creativity and bring a fresh touch to glass packaging. Think bold and unconventional—because who said packaging can’t be as appealing as the product it holds?
Focus of this edition on the electric furnace in Cognac
This year, the Verallia Design Awards highlight the Cognac site, which will be the first in the world and within the Group to produce food packaging in glass using a new 100% electric furnace technology. This state-of-the-art furnace reduces CO2 emissions by 60%, demonstrating its commitment to environmental sustainability.
However, it can only produce white glass bottles. This constraint also presents a unique opportunity for you to showcase your creativity by playing with the transparency and purity of white glass.
For this edition, propose designs for glass bottles that fully leverage this new technology while highlighting its innovative nature.
Two categories of participation
Key dates to remember
March 16, 2025: Deadline for registrations and project submissions at 6 PM.
May 20, 2025: Jury deliberation, composed of experts from various backgrounds.
June 26, 2025: Award ceremony for the winners, an unforgettable day filled with networking and exchanges.
The deliverables
To participate in the contest, you must submit :
- 1 PDF document in landscape format presenting key information about the project (the proposed concept, visuals of the bottle, a technical plan, etc.);
- 1 main image and up to 3 secondary images (in landscape format);
- 1 project title;
- 1 project description.
