The previous edition of the Verallia Design Awards once again highlighted the essential support work of the professors and the valuable expertise of the jury members. The success of this competition relies as much on the creativity of the participants as on the support and advice provided by these key players.
Teacher support
Teachers play a fundamental role in the students’ progress throughout the competition. Their mission is to accompany young talent, guide them in their reflections and offer them concrete perspectives on feasibility and innovation in design. Thanks to their constructive feedback and their ability to link academic requirements to the expectations of the competition, students can develop projects that are both creative and realistic.
Here are Nicolas and Grégoire, who share their experiences and methods for supporting students in this creative adventure :
The key role of jury members
Made up of experts from a wide range of design and industry backgrounds, the Verallia Design Awards jury’s mission is to select the most innovative, original and relevant projects. Jury members assess the students’ creations with a critical eye, taking into account not only aesthetics and creativity, but also the industrial feasibility and sustainability of the proposed concepts.
Their expertise ensures that the winning projects are not only creatively innovative, but also address real industrial issues, particularly those relating to sustainability and innovation in glass packaging. The jury meets at the end of May to select the winning projects, and is also present at the awards ceremony.
