A Special Edition !
This 17th edition marks a major milestone in the history of the Verallia Design Awards with the creation, for the first time, of a special award developed in partnership with a client. Created in collaboration with the Rémy Cointreau Group, this new challenge gave students the opportunity to work on a real-world brief, directly connected to market expectations and industry challenges.
The winner of the Rémy Cointreau Special Award was Andy Marie-Joseph (École de Design Nantes Atlantique), during a ceremony held at the Group’s premises in Angers. His project, Flow, reinterprets the traditional codes of the spirits category through a refined and contemporary approach. By embracing clean lines and a modern visual language, the concept offers a fresh perspective that appeals to younger generations while preserving the brand’s heritage and identity.
To celebrate this first collaboration, an exclusive trophy was also created. It brings together Verallia’s visual universe and that of Maison Cointreau, the first brand of the Rémy Cointreau Group to collaborate with Verallia (since 1943), symbolizing the longstanding relationship between two companies that share a rich common history.
Beyond the competition itself, this initiative reflects Verallia’s ambition to strengthen connections between design schools, brands, and future design professionals. It provides young talents with the opportunity to test their creativity on real-life projects and prepare for the challenges of their future careers.
