For its 16th edition, the Verallia Design Awards once again celebrated the talent and boldness of young designers.
Under the theme “Funky and Committed Glass”, this edition challenged students to imagine creations that are inventive, responsible, and aligned with today’s environmental concerns.
With 329 submissions and a rigorous initial selection process, 60 projects were shortlisted to be presented to a professional jury composed of experts in packaging, design, communication, and CSR.
Following deliberations, 6 winners stood out for the quality of their concepts, their deep understanding of the market, their visual creativity, and their ability to propose bottles that are both beautiful and technically feasible.

The Theme: Funky and Committed Glass
This year’s theme, “Funky and Committed Glass: bold design in service of sustainability,” inspired over 500 students and recent graduates from more than 100 design, packaging, and fine arts schools across France and Europe.
Participants had to work with a strong technical and environmental constraint: white glass.
Why? Because this year, the Verallia Design Awards spotlighted the Cognac site, where the world’s very first 100% electric furnace was inaugurated.
Two types of entries were available:
- The Glass Award, which celebrates bold, unexpected, and innovative shapes designed to enhance white glass.
- The Decor Award, a new addition this year, which highlights graphic creativity by transforming a standard bottle – the Bordelaise Ecova Revolution – into a truly funky piece through colorful, playful, and responsible decoration.
